The Gmail app can show your Easy Sites email alongside your Gmail, on an Android phone or tablet, an iPhone or an iPad. This guide shows you how to add your email address to the app.

Before You Begin
You will need the Gmail app. It comes with most Android phones, and you can download it free from the Google Play Store or the App Store.
You will also need these details. Replace yourdomain.co.uk with your own domain name, and you@yourdomain.co.uk with your email address.
- User name: your full email address, for example you@yourdomain.co.uk
- Password: the password for that email address
- Incoming mail server (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.co.uk, port 993, security type SSL/TLS
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.co.uk, port 465, security type SSL/TLS, signing in with the same email address and password
You can check these at any time. Sign in to your Easy Sites account, select "edit site", click "Domain", then "Email Addresses", and click the cog icon next to your email address. If we set up your email address for you, the details are also in the email we sent you.
On An Android Phone Or Tablet
- Open the Gmail app and tap your profile picture in the search bar at the top.
- Tap "Add another account", then "Other".
- Enter your full email address and tap "Next".
- Choose "Personal (IMAP)".
- Enter the password for your email address and tap "Next".
- On the incoming server settings, enter your full email address as the user name, mail.yourdomain.co.uk as the server, port 993 and security type SSL/TLS. Tap "Next".
- On the outgoing server settings, keep signing in switched on and use the same email address and password. Enter mail.yourdomain.co.uk as the server, port 465 and security type SSL/TLS. Tap "Next".
- Follow the last few steps on screen to finish.
On An iPhone Or iPad
- Open the Gmail app and tap your profile picture in the search bar at the top.
- Tap "Add another account", then "Other (IMAP)".
- Enter your full email address and tap "Next".
- Enter your password and the incoming and outgoing server settings from the list above, then follow the steps on screen to finish.
Your Easy Sites email will now appear in the Gmail app. To switch between accounts, tap your profile picture.
If It Doesn't Connect
- Check the server name, ports and security type against the list above.
- Use your full email address as the user name, not just the first part.
- If you're not sure of your password, you can set a new one on the Email Addresses screen in your Easy Sites account.
- If the app warns that the server's certificate is not trusted, please don't carry on. Raise a support ticket and our team will take a look.
