This guide shows you how to add your Easy Sites email address to the Mail app on an iPhone or iPad. The steps match iOS 26 and iPadOS 26. On older versions, a few names may be slightly different.
If you use the Gmail app on your iPhone or iPad instead, see How To Add Your Email To The Gmail App.
Before You Begin
You will need these details. Replace yourdomain.co.uk with your own domain name, and you@yourdomain.co.uk with your email address.
- User name: your full email address, for example you@yourdomain.co.uk
- Password: the password for that email address
- Incoming mail server (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.co.uk, port 993, using SSL
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.co.uk, port 465, using SSL, signing in with the same email address and password
You can check these at any time. Sign in to your Easy Sites account, select "edit site", click "Domain", then "Email Addresses", and click the cog icon next to your email address. If we set up your email address for you, the details are also in the email we sent you.
Adding Your Email Address
- Open the Settings app and tap "Apps", then "Mail".
- Tap "Mail Accounts", then "Add Account".
- Enter your email address and tap "Next".
- Tap "Add Other Account", then "Mail Account". (On some older versions this is "Other", then "Add Mail Account".)
- Enter your name as you want people to see it, your email address, your password and a description, such as "Work email". Tap "Next".
- If you are asked to choose, tap "IMAP".
- Under "Incoming Mail Server" and under "Outgoing Mail Server", enter mail.yourdomain.co.uk as the host name, your full email address as the user name, and your email password. Tap "Next".
- When the details have been checked, tap "Save".
Your Easy Sites email will now appear in the Mail app.
If It Doesn't Connect
- Check the host name, user name and password against the list above.
- Use your full email address as the user name, not just the first part.
- If the account is added but emails won't send or arrive, open the account in Mail Accounts and check its advanced settings use SSL, with port 993 for incoming mail and port 465 for outgoing mail.
- If you're not sure of your password, you can set a new one on the Email Addresses screen in your Easy Sites account.
- If your iPhone or iPad warns that it cannot verify the server's identity, please don't carry on. Raise a support ticket and our team will take a look.
