This Domain Services Schedule forms part of the EasySites Terms and Conditions. It applies where EasySites registers, renews, transfers, manages, forwards, or otherwise administers domain names, DNS, or related services for you.
1) Scope
Domain services may include domain registration, renewal, transfer, registrar liaison, registrant data handling, DNS configuration, nameserver changes, web forwarding, and related administrative services.
2) Registrant responsibility
You remain responsible for the registrant, registration contact, billing contact, technical contact, and any other authority or ownership details connected to a domain.
- You must make sure those details are accurate, current, and capable of receiving notices.
- You must have authority to register, renew, transfer, or manage the domain.
- You remain responsible for deciding how a domain is used, pointed, forwarded, or configured.
3) Upstream provider rules
Domain services are subject to the rules, policies, dispute procedures, technical requirements, and operational decisions of the relevant registry, registrar, Nominet, ICANN, or other upstream provider.
Those upstream rules may affect:
- availability or allocation of a domain name;
- validation or suspension requirements;
- published registration or RDAP/WHOIS data;
- transfer timing and locks;
- expiry, redemption, reinstatement, or deletion windows; and
- dispute resolution, abuse handling, or cancellation powers.
4) No guarantee of availability or successful registration
A domain is not secured until the relevant registration or transfer is completed by the relevant upstream provider. We do not guarantee that a requested domain will be available, registrable, transferable, restorable, or successfully reinstated.
5) Renewals, expiry, and notices
You are responsible for making sure renewals are paid on time and that reminder, transfer, validation, abuse, and expiry notices sent to your registered contacts can be received and acted on.
We do not accept liability for loss arising from:
- missed renewal or expiry notices;
- incorrect or outdated contact details;
- spam filtering, mailbox failure, or inaccessible email accounts;
- late payment or failed payment methods; or
- the inability to restore a domain after expiry, deletion, suspension, or transfer failure.
6) Transfers and timing
Transfers depend on registry, registrar, and registrant-side steps that may be outside EasySites' control. We do not guarantee the timing or success of transfer requests, transfer approvals, auth-code use, or transfer completion.
You must cooperate promptly with any transfer or validation steps needed to complete a transfer, lock change, ownership change, or registrar process.
7) DNS and nameserver configuration
You remain responsible for the business effect of nameserver changes, DNS records, forwarding configuration, redirects, and related settings, even where we assist with administration.
We do not guarantee:
- DNS propagation timing;
- successful third-party validation against DNS records;
- continuous availability during changes;
- SSL issuance timing; or
- that third-party systems will honour DNS changes immediately or consistently.
8) Forwarding and destination risk
If you use domain forwarding, masking, or redirects, you are responsible for the destination and for making sure it is lawful, secure, accurate, and appropriate. You must not use forwarding to hide unlawful destinations, impersonate others, or facilitate abuse.
9) Registry or registrar action
We may lock, suspend, redirect, hold, disable, or stop administering a domain or DNS setting where required by a registry, registrar, court, anti-abuse provider, law-enforcement body, or applicable law, or where we reasonably believe action is needed to protect EasySites, third parties, or the integrity of the service.
10) Disputes and abuse
Domain names may be subject to dispute procedures, including Nominet and ICANN dispute processes. You are responsible for the domain names you choose, the rights you claim, and the consequences of using a domain that infringes or conflicts with another party's rights.
You must promptly assist with validation, abuse, or rights-based enquiries relating to your domain use.
11) Liability and service boundary
EasySites acts as a service provider and intermediary in domain administration. We do not accept responsibility for the commercial consequences of domain unavailability, transfer delay, expiry, loss of ranking, loss of traffic, or upstream provider action except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
12) Relationship with the Terms
This schedule supplements the EasySites Terms and Conditions. If there is a conflict between the general Terms and this schedule on a domain-specific issue, this schedule takes precedence for that issue.
